New Lara Croft coming next month

Microsoft has announced that Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be release on Xbox Live next month.

It'll arrive on Wednesday 18th August, to be precise. The game will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, which is £10.20 in the old money.

The Guardian of Light sees Lara teaming up with new chum Totec and an isometric viewpoint to raid a load of tombs. The emphasis is on co-op play, arcade combat, puzzle-solving and raiding a load of tombs.

This game could be made of win...or it could be utter pish!

Personally I'm liking the idea of a Diablo-esque Tomb Raider (would be even more awesome if there was looting the fallen enemies in there ), but I can also see that this could quite easily go horribly wrong...and it's definitely not gonna appeal to all of the Tomb Raider fans out there (I already know some who took one look at the new style and decided they're not interested, and these are life long fans of the series!)...I just hope this turns out as good as it has the potential to be!
