MEDAL OF HONOR XBOX 360 BETA IS LIVE

The wait is over -- the Medal of Honor Xbox 360 Beta is now live! Go to www.medalofhonor.com/beta to redeem your beta key. Once you redeem your key, you will be given a token which you can then take to Xbox Live Marketplace and use to download this highly anticipated beta. Only one key can be redeemed per account.

We have received great feedback so far from our PlayStation 3 and PC players and with the Xbox 360 version going live, we look forward to hearing that feedback from you as well! While you will not see too many changes reflected in the beta yet, feel confident that the team is hard at work building an awesome gameplay experience for Medal of Honor. Your feedback is crucial to enhancing the experience, so please visit the Medal of Honor forums and tell us what you think.

Finally, we would like to thank our Xbox 360 fans for sticking with us through the delay – you guys rock!

Don't get me wrong, I love my shooters, but am I the only one that thinks creating a game out of a current, active conflict is a bit close to the bone? I mean, MP maps for Helmand province, while we currently have soldiers dying there, hmmm, I dunno...

6 Days In Fallujah got canned because of the negative publicity about the subject matter, yet this gets no such problems - presumably because it's about no specific incident, but it still seems odd.

Personally, I don't really see a problem with the game being set in the present time and in a real conflict, as long as it's handled properly - and I also think that EA should donate a percentage of the profits to the various benevolent funds of the Allied forces, and contribute something to the men and women who are providing them with such profitable source material.

'EA should donate a percentage of the profits'

you see where you went wrong there

I'm well aware that it's not going to happen, but it would be nice - Medal of Honor looks like it's going to sell by the bucket load, and it's EA, so there will be profit a-plenty, but I can see the war ending before EA give away any profits, sadly.

I've played the ps3 beta a few times dunno how I ws chosen for it cos dint order the game or anything.
Its quite good but I'm a little tired of this type of game now. MW2 sorta put me off or life
Oh and the Helmand province map has been changed to Helmand valley as if that matters.

I think I agree with you Monkeybob...what I played was pretty good, but MW2 has kinda killed my enthusiasm for *yawn* another FPS war game

I was expcting great things from this after loving the Battlefield games, but firing up the beta I instantly thought "this is just Battlefield in a slightly different setting"...hmm. Not that that's a bad thing in itself, but this is meant to be a different franchise...
